Exploring Trondheim

A beautiful warm sunny day accompanied our exploration of Trondheim. We spent our day walking around the city, climbing to the Kristiansten fortress from where we could see views of the city and then down along the river to the older part of town by the riverside. In the afternoon we took a boat trip to the former prison island of Munkholmen in the Trondheim Fjord with views back towards Trondheim and the enormous cruise liner berthed in the harbour.
